Andre Villas-Boas sacked by Chelsea ’s Russian Billionaire – AVB Fan(s)
One of the best English football team – Chelsea fired its young manager Andre Villas-Boas by its owner Roman Abramovich a Russian Billionaire whom the latter paid £13.3 million when he bought from Porto . The news came soon after losing an important match to West Bromwich Albion this weekend.
Andre Villas-Boas after he successfully coached Porto with several wins had moved to Chelsea and became one of the youngest coach and the most expensive coach in English Football history.
Andre Villas-Boas and his team did not performed well as expected and the club only won 3 of their last 12 premier league games. However, we ought to ask, if it is the right time to part away with their talented young manager? Wouldn’t it be wise if Andre Villas-Boas stays till the end of the season? Not to forget the club still stood at 5th position in premier league chart.
That clearly tells us that they are still one of the best teams and a great contender for the top 4 teams that could qualify for the Championship next season. So, the question is – doesn’t Andre Villas-Boas require a little more time to straighten and makeover his ailing team? The likes of John Terry, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and Didier Drogba who were once the backbone of the team are now the major obstacles for the team, as they are now old and stubborn. They no more obey the voice of their young manager Andre Villas-Boas unlike his predecessors as he is younger than most of the senior players.
On the other hand, Andre Villas-Boas really regrets of joining the team as he witnessed that there are at least 3-4 unofficial self styled manager (John Terry, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and Didier Drogba) in the team. However, it is now a great relieved for AVB deep inside, since there was so much speculation on his performance ever since he joined Chelsea . The tabloids in their search for a huge pile of money bother AVB so much so that the latter could not concentrate on his game. These in turn has given so much pressure on him and his team.
If AVB had not been the manager of Chelsea , the team could have performed far better in the premier league games. However, AVB has made the team popular more than it ever was. So, since you are bade farewell, your fans are obliged to say ‘it was a great pleasure to have you and at the same time it is really sad to see you leave’.
Vive-la Andre Villas-Boas
